The Escape 2023 event styling at Cypress Lakes Resort was created for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, and it was one of the year’s most inspiring fundraisers. Because the event ran across two full days, we were able to deliver multiple atmospheres that suited each unique occasion. Not only that, but our clients placed their full trust in us to manage venue styling, furniture hire, florals, and signage. As a result, the event was immersive, purposeful, and deeply memorable for all who attended.
The design brief
The design brief for The Escape 2023 event styling was ambitious yet clear. Because the fundraiser welcomed hundreds of guests, we needed to transform both indoor and outdoor spaces into captivating environments. On the first evening, the vision was Moroccan-inspired, filled with rich colours, bold patterns, and intricate backdrops. The second night transitioned into a fresh outdoor celebration under a canopy of fairy lights. As a result, the styling proved that we can create contrasting moods while keeping the event cohesive.
Key styling highlights
Next, the key styling highlights reflected the themes of each evening. Because of this, guests were greeted with patterned stage backdrops, jewel-toned table settings, lantern centrepieces, and layered metallic accents. In addition, atmospheric lighting installations amplified the sense of drama indoors. Similarly, outdoors the second night offered tables styled with crisp linens, orange napkins, and a blanket of twinkling lights above. Ultimately, these details worked together to create two unforgettable experiences.
All about florals
Then, florals played a starring role across both nights. Because we leaned into vibrant purple, magenta, and orange tones for the Moroccan-inspired evening, the arrangements matched the richness of the theme. In contrast, for the outdoor banquet we chose seasonal blooms in lighter tones that harmonised with the Hunter Valley setting. Not to mention, florals were designed to suit each space, from dramatic stage installations to refined dining table arrangements. Ultimately, the floral styling tied both nights together with balance and beauty.
Custom graphic design details
Our in-house custom graphic design was key to reinforcing the brand story of The Escape 2023 event styling. Because we created bespoke signage, and themed backdrops, the event narrative felt consistent from start to finish. Similarly, entry signage helped personalise the guest experience. As a result, the event felt considered at every touchpoint, and guests remained immersed in the story.
