The Escape 2024 celebrated 30 years of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance with bold colour, playful energy, and unforgettable themed fundraiser event styling. From the very first step under the striped archway, guests were transported into a carnival world designed to spark joy and generosity. This milestone anniversary deserved a celebration that was both meaningful and vibrant. So our styling team worked to capture that balance perfectly.
Every choice from the balloon-framed entrance to the glowing circus marquee lights was carefully considered. We wanted to honour the cause while creating a sense of wonder. The night brought together donors, families, and supporters. This made for an atmosphere that encouraged connection, laughter, and giving. Because of this thoughtful approach, the styling not only impressed visually but also supported the flow of the evening. As a result, the fundraiser became more than just an event. It was an experience that embodied the heart of the organisation.
The design brief
The client envisioned a vibrant circus-meets-carnival theme. They wanted something that was immersive but also practical for a fundraising gala. Our role was to design an environment that delighted guests, encouraged engagement, and supported the flow of service and activities.
Firstly, we layered bold graphics, playful motifs, and dynamic lighting with functional considerations like wayfinding and seating. The goal was to create a space that photographed beautifully, felt cohesive from every angle, and helped build the energy needed for a successful fundraiser. Because of this we combined creativity with precision, and we brought the brief to life through striking themed fundraiser event styling.
All about florals
Florals played an important role in softening the bold carnival aesthetic. We used seasonal blooms in vibrant reds, citrus tones, and berry hues to mirror the energy of the theme. Textured foliage added height and structure while keeping tables practical for food and drink service.
Patterned vessels with harlequin-inspired designs tied arrangements into the circus motif. Repeated placements across lounges, high tables, and bars created visual rhythm and cohesion. Under ambient lighting, the colours photographed beautifully and elevated the guest experience. These choices proved that thoughtful florals are integral to successful themed fundraiser event styling.
Custom graphic design details
Our in-house graphics team created a suite of visuals that stitched the story together. Welcome signage, arrow boards, and menus balanced playful design with clarity. A consistent colour palette and typeface carried through. Because of this, every element, from directional signs to bar fascias.
Branded balloons marked the 30-year milestone, while sunburst and stripe motifs amplified the carnival theme. Each detail was designed for both daytime legibility and evening atmosphere.
